The reason I'm asking is if they (your 'friends') are unscrupulous enough to resort to threats and forcing you out of your unit, what makes you think they'll pay up in the end? Just curious...

well i hope they do. there is a written contract. plus a third party is holding some of the assets as security for both parties.
